Service dogs assist people with disabilities in order to lead a more independent life or provide comfort to people that are in a place of need. Feel free to nominate an animal, an animal advocate or a group that represents service animals.
Working dogs assist humans in their daily jobs. Many dogs and their handlers in this category share the responsibility of life-saving efforts such as bomb-detection, search and rescue, police, military and border patrol. Feel free to nominate an animal, an animal advocate or a group that represents working animals.
For-profit businesses that go above and beyond for animals welfare in their daily operations or via their work in the community.
An award that recognizes groups that might consist of, or work with/in rescue groups, Humane Societies, non-profits and any other group that represents animal advocacy.
A miscellaneous category, someone or a group of people who are deserving of recognition who might not fit in any of the other categories.
Cutting edge science/research and/or entrepreneurialism for healing animals.
An award that recognizes individuals in their youth (17 years & under) that have demonstrated exemplary contributions to animal welfare. This award was inspired by a young and faithful FACE Foundation supporter, Grace Bostwick.
